When an APRS beacon or status is received, the D700 briefly displays (a
half-screen of) info about the received becon. Also, a button choice to
show the "detail" of the beacon appears. Pushing this shows a full
screen of info (including coordinates, distance, or whatever).

My question: Is there any way to have this detail screen displayed
automagically each time a new beacon is received?

I suspect the answer to this is "no", but I figured I'd ask those with
more experience...

I like to pop up this question again. Would be nice to immediately see the Weather Screen
without the need to push the details and -> buttons.
