I�m a new user of the Kenwood TM-700D.
On every band (A and B) I can select the
different memorys. When I start the scanner
on both bands, the scanner will stop on the
same QRG in both

TM-D-700A Deviation
I think I have found out how to adjust the deviation (well it adjust the
figures and numbers) by going into the service mode then to the transmission
deviation part then press and holding the Mic PTT

I have just got the Kenwood TM-D-700 and have been told that it has got low
modulation I have TRY to adjusted it by the service mode but cant seem to
move the deviation with < and > buttons all

I have done this with a GPS III+ and a different "home-brew" GPS unit.
Seems to be working fine. I have run my D-700/D-7 and my laptop running
SA and have not noticed any problems.

I've done this with a Garmin GPS 35, and it works fine. I have the gps wired to my D700, and a DB9 spliced off from that (or is the radio connector spliced from the DB9? Either way). I run a Topo

Go MENU, and look at the options for the VOICE..
There is a SPEAK ALL and SPEAK APRS ONLY options..
When someone sends you a message it SHOULD say the call sign of the sender..

What do I have to set in the D700 to have the voice synthesizer read out the
callsigns and messages in the aprs mode?
It does speak the commands, but does not work with the aprs information.
