Re: Welcome to TMD700A
I will be getting my TM monday, as I have not so patiently tracked
it's every move in the UPS system.
Just curious as to what everyone has found out about their radios..

Re: Software use
I concur. A straight through 9 pin is fine. To make sure everything is ok, you should be able to put your terminal at 9600 8N1 and go to TNC mode and see the copyright information on your terminal.

I just use a "regular" 9-pin serial cable with a gender-changer on it.
I don't even tell the radio anything ... I just fire up the software and
off it goes.

Hi from a new TM-D700 user here in Sydney,
I have downloaded the Kenwood software to load memories in to the

I removed the green wire and the resistor. (I believe clipping the
green wire only affects the MARS / CAP capability).

Re: Extended transmit, but no receive above 450 mhz
I tried the green wire and removing the resistor trick, and had what sounded
like the data coming from my Garmin GPS12 crosstalking on my audio. I
reconnected everything. Which mod did you try? PS.

Extended transmit, but no receive above 450 mhz
I've performed the extended tx/rx on my radio. On the "A" side, I
can transmit and receive above 450 mhz.
On the "B" side, it will transmit above 450 mhz, but will not receive
anything above 450
