TM-D710Ga & "Project: Battery State Tracking"
When I look on Findu, I see I haven't sent a GPS position in over a day. Yet I think I beacon several times an hour from the fixed location.
I do have my precise position in the #605 memory position

Re: Fldigi and kenwood D710ga
Fldigi only works with a sound card, in the head is the TNC. Fldigi doesn't work with a TNC. I know in the settings there's a setting for KISS. I never got it to work.

I re read your original message. That plug won't work. You need a Sound card with the 6 pin din plug into the data plug on body.

Re: Fldigi and kenwood D710ga
What are you trying to do? Fldigi needs a soundcard. Any sound Card program should work. I've used MMSSTV, Winlink Express, UZ7HO and various programs that work with that program.

I haven’t tried the chokes yet but just thinking, it is hooked up exactly the same way as using echolink with the radio and echolink works perfectly. If it was rf wouldn’t that effect both of them

I will give that a try. Makes sense, The first thing I thought was that it seemed like some kind of safety shutting it off.

Re: Full Reset on D710GA ?
Tony,
I did the Full-Reset. Decoded no packets off ,CH-A, 144.390 overnight.
However, I had CH-B on 145.825 for Sat's and did copy RS0ISS traffic.
CH-B is the External and is read through SignaLink

Re: D-700 as a Simple Stand-Alone Digipeater
Thanks Mark,
Good info.
The 700 info seems to be discussing mobile radios as digipeaters. While I'm trying to set up a mobile radio as a digi, it will be used as a local permanent digi on a hilltop
