TM-D710A won't unlock
My D710 appears locked. The panel shows it's locked and all the panel and mike buttons and knobs beep when pressed or turned. This implies two things; it's locked and all the buttons (including knob

Oddly, if I do so with N4SRN alone it stores with Tuning Control knob press, but add a dash zer -0 or dash any digit fails to store. Hmmm....

Re: Setting SSID in APRS on a TM-D710G, -9 not sticking
I'm stuck at the same point.
I've entered my callsign in APRS but cannot figure out what to press to get it to save. rather than exit w/o saving. My blinking cursor is on the space after N4SRN-0.

HU Leo
Thanks for this. I am still waiting for Kenwood to send me two of their connectors, supposedly arriving from Japan. It would be really good if a non-Kenwood source is found for spare

I will certainly post the results of my efforts. Hopefully it won't take the connector long to get here.

Re: D700A help with ribbon cable connector
I can believe that.
Kenwood TNC is a reasonably standalone module (this is why I am using itseparately) but it frequently communicates with the rest of the system via internal dedicated serial port.

Hi Leo
Thanks for this info. I was wondering actually why I was having so much trouble with a simple connector. Anyway, I have gone up and down this way and that and finally found from Kenwood US
