Re: Garmin Emap <> D700
You end up having to look at a couple of different pictures to be
sure, but yes you are correct. The tip of the 2.5 mm connector is pin
2, the middle sleeve is 3, and the last is pin 5.

D700A & GPS III +
Just got a GPS III +, was wondering if the serial cable that came
with
it would work to hook it up to my 700, or if I need a different one.
Thanks!

Re: GPS & 700A
I can not say that it is the best but the GPS III+ works for me. I also have
US roads and recreation, maps are good only drawback 1 to 3 counties at a
time. A GPS like the III+ gives you a lot

GPS & 700A
What GPS units have people found to work the best with the 700A?
With
those units, what features do they have? I'd like the positioning
info, but also like to use mapping features for navigation.

Re: APRS and the VS-3
I've never been able to get it to work with APRS at all, and some of the
things I think it should do for "voice" don't happen, either.
It just seems like a very, very buggy firmware

I KNOW THIS. YOU CAN READ THE MANUAL TOO, JUST LIKE ME. Again, MINE
doesn't work this way. I'm trying to find out why. It SHOULD work this
way, but it DOESN'T. sheesh!
