PCs are so inexpensive and easy to operate now, why not get a cheapie PC
for APRS use exclusively? It would probably be easier and faster in the
long run!

Re: Use with a Macintosh
Just MacAPRS - I guess the only problem I am having is finding an interface
between the serial output on the TM-D700 and a port of some kind on the
Macintosh, sorry if I wasn't clear on that earlier.

Use with a Macintosh
Greetings to the list:
Has anyone hooked up their TM-D700 and used it with a Macintosh? I have a
'spare' mac here in my office and I would like to use it as a dedicated APRS
receive/transmit

Re: GPS module?
Ralph,
Many of us use a GPS with no display.
I am using the Garmin GPS-35. All the electronics, antenna, etc are in a module about 1/2 the size of a mouse.
I leave mine sitting on the rear window

GPS module?
Anyone know of a company that sells a small inexpensive 12-channel gps
module (without display) that I can use with the TMD-700? Ideally, I'd
like it to acquire sats as soon as 12vdc is applied.
