Yes. To those GPSes that allow it.
I have a GPS III and I get station displays updated everytime i get audio from the radio that displays the station.

Does the THD7A (and/or) the THD7A(G) provide *output* to the GPS  for
displaying stations on the GPS as moving waypoints like the TMD700A does?

The pinouts for the various connectors are in the manual. If you no
longer have yours, I believe there is a copy on the Kenwood web site.

It's best to have their good-quality picture to refer to, because with the
RJ-type connectors trying to explain it can get confusing.

Outstanding.

Is anyone on the list using a TH7A(G) to provide waypoint information to
your GPS? I'm trying to build a small, portable GPS + transceiver package
that will fit in about 1/2 briefcase so, the TH7A(G) is just the perfect
size but, I want to make sure everything is going to play before I order
it.

Thanks!

The suggested mod did NOT change my audio.

The only means to overcome the weakness in the mic is to close talk the mic and speak up. Otherwise you will have insufficient audio to drive the radio and therefore appear to other stations to be under-deviated.

Hi William,

I use version 251 of Winaprs!!!

Please be warned that if you are thinking of using an earlier version

that is "Lighter" like v2.2.6 and some other  versions

DO NOT LIKE the Kenwood D700 and will place you in the Congo ,

Mainland China or even the Azores!!!!

This happens because it drops the first digit of of the West so that 122 becomes 22 and thats way out of the way!!

Good luck

Re: USB serial port connection

William Dennis <shadow194591@...>

Well here's what ,I know so far , I know that you will
never get the kenwood program to run never . For the
reason of just what you said . There software isn't 32
bit for one , From a pal at kenwood said there working
on a new program but from where , I see it you will
never see if you get what , I'm talking about . It
like what , I have told everyone . When the usb thing
came out know one was making nothing on there side . I
wrote kenwood asking why they wasn't ready for this ,
As well as other company's and it's the same old thing
everyone is blaming the other and all the info was out
way before hand .It's like the old saying wish in one
hand and crap in the other and see what one fills
first . And we all know where that is . So it's not
the computer makers in my eye's the the problem down
the line !

You know that this problem has been a pain in the butt
for a long time . The thing that kill's me is all the
software did know about this but didn't do anything
about it , I see this all the time because , I repair
computer's and it just drive's me up a wall . It like
this one program called link 700 , I have it working
once and it just quit when , I downloaded the update ,
I wrote the person that wrote it and told him of the
problem he told me to go and buy a belkin converter .
To prove my point , I gave it a shot still the same
problem . I think if more people tell this guy there's
a problem with the 32 bit area he might fix it !

From experience. It depends on how my OS is setup if
it sees the USB
seriel and parallel device and also the drivers.
Currently the drivers I got from Belkin don't work.
however I downloaded
them and now the serial side works.

Under windows 95 everything worked fine. But with
Win98se I started
having these problems.
Trying sevral ways of getting my Belkin HUB to work
I was eventully
everything working.
One problem I did have was with a Control software
for my D7a and I
couldn't select the com port in the software.
I looked in my system properties and noticed that
the com port on the
HUB was not being seen. After a reboot and adjusting
some settings
in the system properties I was able to get this to
work.
