Here is a picture of what cold is really like. This picture was taken one year ago today.

 

Diamond Peak, Pittsburg, NH.  No wind is -10, then with windchill, at about -30 degrees or worse. Get on the sled and drive into the wind, and the windchill get crazy.  

 

Doug, N1LHP with bare hands trying to reach his FM repeater near Concord, NH about 130 miles south. He could hear it but his radio quickly failed due to the extreme cold.
