If interested, please see information below regarding an upcoming General Licence class for Amateur Radio Operations. 

 

METERS is conducting a General class on Jan 12 and Jan 19.

 The General Class license review course is January 12 and 19, beginning at 8:00 AM each day at the Knoxville County EOC, 605 Bernard Ave., Knoxville, TN. We plan to have testing at the end of the second day.This class is open to anyone who wishes to upgrade from Tech.

 

Interested persons should contact METERS Secretary, Cathi Cogle, K4TMW, at cathiwim@... or Nick Cook, W3VN, GadgetGuyTN@....


We will be using the book put out by Ham Radio Schools. (https://hamradioschool.com/ham-radio-study-guide-hamradioschool-com/) It may be ordered online, but copies are available at a discounted price of $20 from Nick Cook, W3VN. Students are expected to read the book prior to coming to the review. 

NOTE: This book and the review are more than just a look at the answers to the question pool. It is intended that students will not only pass their tests afterwards, but gain practical knowledge that will help them as they begin their exploration of the HF bands!
