Due to external family situation I find it necessary to resign from TLARC. This comes from much thought and consideration. I have enjoyed the club since its beginning thanks to Alan Tarbel’s initiation starting the club.

TLARC members,

For some time now we have been working on revisions to the existing TLARC Constitution and Bylaws. These activities are about to conclude with the vote to accept at our next monthly TLARC meeting tomorrow evening, August 19^th at 7:30 PM on Zoom.

At our February meeting, a motion was made to appoint a committee to review the Constitution and By-Laws and recommend changes to the membership. This action was concurrent with actions to apply to become a Tennessee Non-Profit Corporation and to apply for exempt status under section 501(c)3 of the IRS Code.

The By-Laws committee started proceedings in May, completed their work on May 28 with a unanimous vote to proceed, then submitted their proposed changes to the officers. The officers unanimously approved the changes  and the documents were then distributed to the TLARC membership via email on May 30^th and again on July 14^th for review. The timetable was announced in accordance with the existing By-Laws, providing for discussion in July and a vote to approve in August. The proposed changes were discussed at the July 15^th monthly meeting, and with that, the vote to approve is now upon us.

Holy cow, I didn’t know something was brewing!  I’m guessing that one of the Phaser Kit owners is affiliated with CQ Magazine and he wrote a MAGNIFICENT 10-page product review of the Phaser!  Just looked at it here with my online subscription.  Unfortunately I can’t share that but can recommend CQ Mag as a great ham periodical.  Here’s the link to the site with the cover and table of contents.

TLARC’ers,

I’m looking for a few helping hands this Saturday morning (August 22^nd). I have a small tower project in my backyard that needs to be moved from horizontal to vertical and checked for clearance, then lowered again for additional work. Total time on site should be one hour or less. I think 4-5 people will make quick work of this evolution. If you’re available and willing to lend a hand please email me directly at n1esk1@....
