Re: Tune in... the TLARC Radio Net and Zoom Swap -n- Sell are this Wednesday
Here’s the FULL LIST of what we have so far for this month’s Live, Online Virtual Hamfest … the TLARC Swap & Sell on Wednesday evening at 7pm. MANY new and very cool items – antennas, radios, and some special items. http://www.tlarc.org/swap-sell/index.html
Check out the list and figure out what interests you. But you CANNOT BUY these items yet – only during the meeting! If several people have interest in a given item, we figure out a way to see has the ‘greater’ interest!
You’ll see a lot of items listed from me - I’ve been going to hamfests for DECADES and collecting all sorts of good stuff! So dig into your OWN back room and find the gadgets and radios and other goodies that you’ve been saving for a rainy day … and let me know! I’ll get it posted and perhaps someone else will have a good use for it.
So give me a jingle and I’ll work with you to sell it for you!

Re: ISS sighting tonight
Details are on the TLARC website now too, if needed in the field!
And thanks to eagle-turtle-eye Gary for this ISS sighting coming tonight! … Wonder if we’ll be able to discern the docked Dragon space capsule? (With telescopic aid, of course!)

Important: Revised By-Laws attached
David Andrews
TLARC members,
TLARC has submitted an application for recognition of exemption under section 501C3 of the Internal Revenue Code. During the application process, a number of deficiencies were identified in our organizing documents. A committee was formed in Early May to review and revise the existing Constitution and By-Laws. This action was required to bring the documents into compliance with current IRS regulations, and also presented an opportunity to update the documents for the first time since their creation four plus years ago. The committee members were Mike Foley K4MJF, George Heron N2APB, Randy Kruszka WK9M, Allan Tarbell K1AT, Mike Wagner KK6OKU, and myself. After multiple Zoom sessions and email exchanges, the committee unanimously approved the amendments. They were then presented to the current officers, who also unanimously agreed to present them to the membership in accordance with Article 8 of our Constitution The Article reads as follows:
Article VIII Amendments
The Constitution or By-Laws may be amended by three-fourths of members in good standing who are present at the meeting at which a vote is taken. Proposals for amendments shall be submitted in writing at a regular meeting and shall be discussed at the next following regular meeting. A vote will be taken at the second meeting following presentation of the proposal to amend. An attempt must be made to notify all members in good standing of the proposal to amend the Constitution and/or By-Laws.
Attached to this email are the original and revised Constitution and By-Laws. Note the Constitution is now known as the Articles of Incorporation. This email satisfies the first requirement, highlighted in yellow, scheduled for June 17. Discussion of these revisions will be held at the next regular meeting, highlighted in blue, scheduled for July 15. A vote will be taken at the second meeting following presentation, highlighted in green, scheduled for August 19.
Please take the time to carefully review these documents. Note that discussion of these changes will be held during our July meeting, not the June meeting. As you review them, please note any changes that you have questions about; others will probably have the same questions. There will be a presentation at the July meeting to discuss the changes and allow for orderly discussion. This will be a very important meeting, so please make an effort to attend.
If you received this email twice, it is to doubly ensure compliance with the last sentence of Article 8. Also note the date at the end of the Articles of Incorporation will be changed to match the date of passage.
Thanks,
David Andrews N1ESK, TLARC Secretary

FD Special Rule Change
Juan Lopez
As predicted: The ARRL has revised the rules for 2020 Field Day, as of yesterday.
*Basically section 4.6 has been revised to allow Class D Stations (Home Stations) to be permitted to count contacts with other Class D Stations. This is in addition to counting contacts with Class A, B, C, E & F Field Day Stations.
In addition, for 2020 Only, an aggregate club score will be published, which will be the sum of ALL individual entries indicating a specific club (TLARC).
This is an Excellent Opportunity to allow TLARC to "Shine." Every TLARC should get on the air and submit their scores and associate their entry with TLARC for the club. Let's see how many gazillion points we can put on the scoreboard.
