Re: 2021 POTAPALOOZA
I'm disappointed I couldn't make POTAPALOOZA.
Unfortunately I had the burden of driving Haley, the Student Government President around in the Maryville College Homecoming Parade. This is the last time - I swear!

INVITATION AND REMINDER: TLARC General Meeting, Wednesday, October 20, 2021, Bert's Homestyle Grill in Madisonville
Chuck Ferguson - N4CSF
TLARC Members and Guests,
This is your invitation and reminder to attend the upcoming TLARC General Meeting on Wednesday evening, October 20, 2021. Dinner will begin at Bert's Homestyle Grill at 5:30pm EDT. The address is 902 Tellico Street S, Madisonville, TN 37354. Please see the attached map for the location. We will gather in the banquet room to the left and down the hall from the foyer, as you enter the restaurant. The meeting follows at 7:00pm EDT in the same banquet room. We look forward to seeing all of you there, and don't forget to wear your TLARC T-shirts and represent the Club to the local community. Also attached, please find the updated minutes from the August 19 meeting at Tugaloo Beach and the draft minutes from the September 15 meeting at Chota Rec Center, both for your review and comment. Since I am unable to attend next week, please forward any comments or questions to President Mike Wagner KK6OKU or Vice President Mike Foley K4MJF for resolution. As you may recall from last month, we tabled discussion of the August 19 minutes, pending their update to correct inaccurate references to the proposed remote station at God's Cozy Acres. The revised minutes now reflect the station will be used for training and occasional contesting. However, it WILL NOT be used for Field Day operations, because doing so will not comply with ARRL's setup requirements for that event. The minutes also indicate future Club decisions on the possible use of the 911 Center and Field Day operational priorities (contesting points and/or training) will be reserved for next year's Admin Team. Finally, you have a standing invitation to the Admin Team's pre-meeting planning breakfast at the Lenoir City Cracker Barrel on Monday morning, October 18, 2021, at 9:00am EDT. Feel free to join us for a time of fellowship and Club business.

It is with great sadness to announce that my good friend Mike “Mikey” Paulin N1MXJ has passed. Their not sure of the exact cause as of yet but he had been feeling poorly and went for a Covid test on Monday. Friends had been checking in with him but when they lost contact with him they had a welfare check done. They found him at his home yesterday morning. Mikey was the treasurer of the CCDX club, an avid Field Day participant, great friend and an all round great guy! He will be truly missed.
