It was fun today to get out and setup at the Shoofly Indian Ruins.

A little cold at 9:00am, but the sun was out and we had fun setting up and running our equipment outside the ‘shack’.  Bruce (N7DDT) was running his Elecraft QRP radio and also was setup for Winlink and picked up and sent messages  on battery/solar power.  Steve (K7OFG) was already setup and operating when I got there and participated in his morning hf net from the park.  Steve also logged a POTA event with Tonto National Forest (see POTA.app).  One of TARA’s new members, Felix (KF7LB) was there and it was great to meet him!

I was setting up my Xiegu G90 for the first time outside my shack and everything worked (amazing when that happens sometimes).

Nice pix. Looks like a nice time. I may have to work at getting a portable setup one of these days after everything else running wild in my head.
