No trains between Lax and Fiesch until end of traffic 10.11.2019. This is not reflected in the journey planner.

I'm sorry but this is not correct. And the journey planner has an
information about the bus service. But as the bus can keep the railway
timings, it is not necessary to change the timetable.

The first link you sent was better in regard to Lax-Fiesch:

The full truth is this:

1) From 14 Oct - 11 Nov 2019 all trains are replaced by busses between
Lax and Oberwald. This is due to engineering works

2) After 14 Oct and AFAIK until December six trains in each direction
are replaced by buses between Brig and Fiesch. This is due to not having
enough drivers available.

For exactly the same reason, last Sunday SBB replaced all S9 trains between Olten and Sissach (via Läufelfingen) with buses.

I'm 65, but do you think it's time for a new career as a Swiss train
driver?!?

Presumably this is the local EMUs rather than the through Andermatt services. If so they are a comparitively recent innovation and theynever used to run anyway so perhaps the obvious trains to cull

Somewhat strange pronouncement. These trains use to run and they are more reliable than the Andermatt through services!
