There is still another BLS involvement:

The Thello night trains always travel via L├Âtschberg when Vevey - Visp is closed for any reason. It has even happened that the train passed in front of our house, when also the Aaretal line (Bern - Thun) was closed. This was around 2 o'clock in the night.

At https://www.thello.com/en/paris-venice/traffic-information/ Thello informs that the weekend trains via Vallorbe will operate as scheduled. Bus substitution services between Paris, Dijon and Milano have been put in place for tonight and Monday night's services via Modane. Thello is still looking at alternatives for departures from July 9.

Kappeli to Farbhof closed at end of traffic 12.07.2019 and will not see timetabled trams again until 02.09.

Farbhof loop and terminus will be demolished and replaced by a through stop.

The extension from Farbhof to Schlieren Geissweid will open to timetable traffic on 02.09.2019 but there will be an opportunity to travel during the opening festival on 31.08.2019 which will include the use of museum cars

Around the station in Au, Zurich, there were two small shunters with a few old style coaches, I think one in red/beige, one in blue/beige and one in green.
Does anybody have any information on these?

While travelling from Luzern to Bern via Entlebuch, I spotted a few restored BLS EWI in green, a SBB EWI diner (self service type) as well as at least one former Goldenpass coach.
I don't remember if it was Langnau or Konolfingen. It might have been Extrazug.ch (Langnau).

I did get to ride a lot of trains and take some routes that I had not yet been on.

I did not get to ride on the Giruno, the Twindexx, nor the new SOB Flirts.

ETR 610 Query

On my recent trip to Switzerland, I observed a Trenitalia ETR 610 in Zurich HB with Swiss UIC numbering. How many of the FS trainsets are registered in Switzerland? I know that the ETR 470s were at one point registered to Cisalpino AG Bern. Is this because a few of the original ETR 610 were also delivered to Cisalpino AG? I thought that they had reverted to either SBB or TI?

All ETR 610 have always been registered in Switzerland. Units 01, 02, 03, 04, 08, 11, 12 can be found with VKM TI, if you search with
93 85 5 610 001 etc. on www.rollingstockregister.ch

I guess it was the ZB ABeh 150 (Adler) type trainset. It was an unusual consist. The middle section was labelled Luzern-Interlaken Express and had a Bistro Car.
The consist was made up of two trainsets, possibly with an additional section with one pilot coach.

11 ABeh 160/161 three-car-EMU with 2 cabs

The usual consist is 150.1-150.3-150.2
Normal peak consist is 150.1-150.3-150.2-160

In case of a technical problem a 150.1 or 150.2 may be replaced with a 160/161.

All the new trains are Stadler, nothing from Bombardier here.

What you saw wasn't an unusual consist as 10 coach formations are common.

The new ZB EMU fleet has three types, commuter, Interregio and a dual-purpose. The commuter sets (Class 130) are known as 'Spatz'. The IR sets are 'Adler' and dual-purpose sets are 'Fink'. ZB considers the Adler units to be 7 car sets consisting of 150.1 and a 150.2 (3 cars each) and a bistro car (150.3). Fink are 3 car sets (160). They are often coupled together, hence you arrive at a 10 car formation with the Luzern Interlaken Express markings and a bistro.

I saw at least one Freccio Argento ETR 610 with yellow UIC numbers which were 93 85 X 610...
I also saw at least two trainsets which did not have these larger numbers on the coach sides.
I saw at least one SBB unit which had CH-SBB and I-TI markings.
The other SBB units had 93 85 5 numbering but were not class 610. May have been RABe 503 (2nd series)

The diversion of LION sets to the S20 means that the diagrams starting 0638 ex Z├╝rich (4808) and 0653 ex Aarau (4809) are now worked by pairs of Re 450
