STREETCARS OF FLORIDA'S FIRST COAST
More The A Trolley Tale
OBSCURE and Long abandoned, these railways served Northeast Florida, several operated as steam shortlines, others as horsecar lines, and others as electrics.
It's still to early to pre-order, but this is the cover proof for my new book. Hopefully this fills a void in traction information. The story centers on Jacksonville, Florida, but includes Fernandina Beach, St. Augustine, Green Cove Springs and Palatka.
The empire builders, neighborhoods, developers, movie makers and railway men are all here. Fever, fire, influenza, civil rights, unionism, cinematic disaster, and the omni present General Motors-National City Lines, are all here too.
Expect them to release this around the end of November. Inquire at The History Press.
