Todd, Tap the Topics button and see if it switches to Messages. My iPad was just showing the same locked messages and I have no idea how that happened. Looks all good now though.

I just checked on Iphone and Mac, there were about 10 TOPICS that were locked.
Many were from 2000. A couple were newish. I manually unlocked them. I have no Idea, how/why/when/who locked them. They also show as being a Sticky? Should be OK now. Too late to boot up Windows 10 machine to see if it sees the same. George M. is correct. Switching to messages from topics gets rid of locked signs.
