Rapid AM toolpost, does it fit on a SB heavy 10?

Ruud

I own a SB heavy 10 and want to change my toolpost for a Rapid or SGB quick change toolturret. What model can I use on the 10 Heavy?
Is it posible to fit a Rapid AM?
Regards,
Ruud

Shipping the the Netherlands would be kinda high, especially considering its not a toolpost :)

Ruud- The Dickson style posts are not common in the US, where most 10Ls are located. But, if the post will let you get your chosen size of tool bit to about 1.1 inches from the top surface of the compound, it should work.

The best price on a QC tool post you will get at CDCO tools ( not connected with CDCO). You need a AXA model buy some extra tool bit holders

This is the Heavy 10 I own:
It has a 4-way toolturret. I want to replace it by a quick change type.
Dicksons is as far as I know, the English version of the Italian Rapid.

Clone AXA wedge style and plenty of cutter holders ( Genuine Aloris if you are rich )

Follow suggestions here as to good source

Guys, his email address implies he is in the Netherlands. Chances are, Aloris style posts are not easily available there, while multifix and dickson clones may be.

After checking out the net for information on the AXA Multifix. Decided to buy a AXA Multifix Type A including 4 holders, made in Germeny, no Chinese copy. It came in last saterday and after some modifications it fits the original toolpost. So now both type toolpostholders can be used on the lathe.
