I have a horizontal 9a v belt and i need to know what size the belts are? The belt from the pulley to the lathe is a b42 not sure what the belt is from the motor?

4" 4 jaw Self Centering Scroll Lathe Chucks Solid Jaws
I bought a Shars chuck and while trying to grind the jaws i cut to much and need some replacements. I called them (no help) they only have 6 " jaw replacements. I could reweld them up or drill and tap

The saddle gibb was a little loose. I have tightened and it seams to have corrected the bounce on the cutter. thanks everyone for the help.

I put some pictures up As you can see it is cutting all over the place any suggestions. cutting with new carbide tool and as slow as it goes (not in back gear)

yes, It seems like when I make the first cut it cuts more in the center. When I move the cross slide back it seems like it cuts just on the outside. Have not moved the carriage. Anyone in the Orlando

PROTECTING RING
I have a south bend 9a and am trying to install a new chuck and back plate. Should the chuck touch the protecting ring. I will try and add a few pictures also. I cant get it less than 5 thousands.

I have an independent 4 jaw already. My 3 jaw is slipping. thought it might work better. You are right about Shars. They are a pain. Just wanted to know if is was a piece of junk or worth a trial.
