Hi guys
South Bend started adding quick change gear boxes in '22 wasn't it? if I remember correctly, they went to the 2 tumbler (?) boxes in the '40's & had all size lathes converted by the early 50's

Lifting 10K onto cabinet?

thanks Noah. that's what I thought originally, but I can't find any pix of a Junior with those feet, with the 2 boltdown tabs. also check the vertical 'gussets' of the tailstock, only 9" I found have

Chuck Removal Jig Ideas.....
that's a good idea Jim B!! looks like it works great on 'quick connect' chucks. should work well on 'screw-on' also, just spin the threaded spindle into or out of the chuck! it's also 1 helluva lot ea
