I sent you a few pictures as visual aids. I would have posted them here for all to see but I could not figure out how to attach them from my tablet. Fill free to post them if you find them useful. If

QC Tool Post
I am about to upgrade my old lantern style tool post to a Aloris style quick change tool post. My question is which style is better, wedge style, or piston style?

Adjustable micrometer way stop
Awesome! I like this one, and it seems simple enough. I could really use a good stop, but before I tackle another project I want to make a few upgrades to my lathe. I'm in the market for a good chuck,

SB 9 Taper attachment
Do we have a parts list for the SB 9 taper attachment. I seem to remember seeing one somewhere in the past, but for the life of me I can't find it now

No problem. I had most of it drawn up in a CAD program is I wouldn't have to go through all the frustration again if I ever had to do it again.

Thanks Bob. It is original except the motor. It does have some wear on the ways, and I had to shim up the tail stock. It is missing some key pieces for the taper attachment. I'll get around to finding

Bob; I have attached a pdf describing how my motor is wired to the switch. My motor is not the original motor. The previous owner replaced it. I hope this helps. Phillip

Sure Bob. When I get home tonight I'll see if I can through something together that will help. You using the original motor or a replacement?

Seems this thread is drifting away from its originalscope, so I’ll nip this one in the bud right now. The idea behind the originalpost was to share a project that is not very often encountered here in

Don't fret it Nelson. Your not alone. My twenty year old daughter will send me text messages on my phone so full of abbreviations I can't read it.

Nelson; If I am reading Rick’s post properly he is justmaking conversation. The “T” in his question is short for true, so Rick’squestion would be “Making a #4 true up?” Truing up is just another term
