SBL Model 33E
2- If the tag is valid for 9-11-13" gearing, does that mean that gears from those sized lathes are interchangeable: ie: 9" gears will fit the 11" ? Just the number of teeth are the same, not the gears

SBL Model 33E
I think the tag is the index plate. The 9-11-13 are the sizes of machines that the plate will work for, not the date. Ted

Speed chart Vee belt
That speed chart is from 1976, so it would be for the 10K, but it also would apply to some of the 9" with a double motor pulley. Ted

The dials were all large by the time I was involved. The cross slide retracted over the dials to get the full travel...but that is no excuse Ted

? re dial readings on SBL 16"
The original screws on the 16" crossfeed and compound are 8 TPI. One revolution moves the slide .125" If your dials have 250 grads, they are diameter reading. If 125, radius reading. Ted
