1943 SB catalog lists 2-3/8-6, buyer told me it is 2-3/8-6, it has a 9” 3-jaw on it right now. I will take the chuck off and see what It actually is.

Jim B,
But for the "X" all it says is "Special".

I was curious if anyone knows what the encompasses? What makes "Special" special?
I was just curious.

Hi everyone,
I have a question concerning the codes of the serial numbers on SB lathes. The list of explanations for the codes are pretty straight forward.  But for the "X" all it says is "Special".

What type of 1/2 nuts are you looking for.  Do you mean a drive plate? There is a seller in Niles,Ill that has belts. you can find him on e-bay. South Bend or Atlas Lathe flat drive belt custom cut | eBay  this is not a leather belt but it will work. If you find a all leather belt and need it spliced I can do it for you if your close to me. I was looking for the seller in Niles, Ill but could not find him

Things I would like to find but probably way out of my price range

I have turned off posting on Yahoo and New Membership on Yahoo. I/we have no plans to stop anything else.
All the files and pictures should be accessible forever.

I still do not understand you problem.
In the photos section the only text was a picture title.
On Io I still find that.
In the files section pictures and text were together. I sill find that.
In the posts section, toward the end, Yahoo allowed pictures to be inserted. Earlier, they were attachments that resided on Yahoo.
On io posts, pictures can be inserted into the post. They are sent with the post. They should reside on your computer.
I just noted, also, that there is a-folder, in photos that is labeled attachments.
I am wondering if (Perhaps) you need to tell your viris checking program that groups.io is a safe place..
