Interesting. Im not that concerned about the wire cost if it works. I
was taught in welding class to tig cast iron but to do so required
preheating with a torch and then letting it cool slowly in sand

Yes you can mig cast iron if you buy wire thats 200 bucks a lb or so.
I think John means he can make a duplicate leg from steel, maybe...Bob

The drawbar for my 1942 threaded head stock 10Lmeasures 11.5" from the tip of the threaded end to the start of thetaper.
Is this what you wanted?

Heavy 10 draw bar length
I just sent a 5C handwheel drawbar setup off to a customer and I am
concerned it may have been the incorrect length.
Im told it came from a D1-4 spindle machine and the customer has a 2-
1/4"-8

I didn't see that part about the top heavy drive unit. Is itone of those noiseless (or whatever) chain drives? The one that looks likeit's going to fall over at any second?
