Yes, there were agents for Southbends in Britain, but I think protectionist import taxes made them expensive compared with home built machines, and in most of the 1920s and 1930s expense

From what I've read, the Me262 could have been operational about '43.
Hitler did want a dive bomber to replace the Ju-87 Stuka. Actually the
Fw-190's did well in that role. Simular to the P-47
