South Bend Model "N" Owners - Resources
If there are other Model "N" owners on this site, I would like to offer some pictorials I have put together regarding controls and settings. My model N is a 1931 13" with the push/pull apron control

Re: Stay Safe!
Thanks, Jim.
It is easy to get hacked nowadays. All you need to do is click on a link that looks familiar but secretly leads to a hacker's evil empire.

Gary,
I am not sure how to post this link, but if you go to E-Bay and search South Bend Lathe, heavy 10, it is on the first page towards the bottom. I wish I could make it easier for you.

Re: reverse tumbler gears
I can’t seem to find the item on Ebay. Can you post a link?
There are a couple of discussions on how to make the conversion on Practical Machinist. Basically it eliminates the need for lubrication

Re: 13" in Michigan for parts
Personally, I love my 13" single tumbler (Model 'N') for it's uniqueness and accuracy. Glad others are keeping the single tumblers alive too.
