Re: Yahoo system failure

Chris,
I get them, but it seems to be only one bounce and they are removed, but I also believe
an attachment large file size will cause some mail SMTP servers to reject the message.
Try sending a big attachment and see if you get the UDMN bounce back, it never states
that it's for file size on my return headers.

Re: cross feed screw thrust bearings

tkrotw <tkrotw@yahoo.com>

I have a 13"
I sent my old thrust bearing to a very large bearing
house and they could not directly match it.
Leblond is $51, Rose at Parts Works is about $20
higher. The other large bearing on the shaft is $90
something. I heard after purchasing one that a needle
bearing from MSC can be shaved down to fit. I have
never done this but you could buy quite a few bearings
to modify for the cost of a factory one. If you have a
taper attachment I have some extra sets of the small
diameter thrust bearings in the taper attachment. Tell
us how it goes if you elect to modify an MSC set.

What I don't understand is that I am sending a message to Yahoo. Yahoo is sending the message to the other members of the group. Why do I get Yahoo's rejection notices?

Steve, number one. I get that one sometimes and found that the recipients mail box is full. Don't know if it is always the case with this message. What I hate is the reject message takes as long to receive. IE if I send a picture to 5 mail recipients and 3 are rejected, I have to wait until all three download to receive the rest of the mail. A bitch on slow dial up. LOL

Thanks for the input. I do believe the problem is in
the apron and I suspect the clutch is the problem.
What is teh best procedure to expose that culprit in

When this happens members start getting these bounced messages. The Moderator is supposed to rectify this by contacting or removing the offending member. Denny, you're not being moderated. There is no way in hell that your post would have made it to the board that fast if you were. When a member is on moderated status his or her (?) post goes to the moderator's in-box, via a Yahoo "Moderate Notification", which includes a link to the Accept-Reject page. If the moderator isn't reading his mail it could sit there for days or weeks until it expires. Considering the fact that you are a very active (and Valued) member here, I think you will be much happier selecting "Receive Individual Emails" in your preferences section. there before you can even check to see if it made it.

I only belong to four or five groups and only two of them are SB but
this one is the one with all the problems. Drummond and Dalton
groups work great.

Say I was looking over my profile page and I did not see were I can
check anything that would allow me to receive emails. It would be
handy for pictures since most of the guys don't have a flicker
site. I really like that site and I see Steve is using it now. I
have family members that are using it and they like it. I only use
it for machine stuff.

Nuff for now

When was that last time any of us heard from him-her-whatever? If I
didn't know any better I would say that the group is synonymous with
the "Flying Dutchman"! In the interim, go to your "SENT" folder,
retrieve it, and send it again. Or just wait and see if it eventually
goes through. It could simply be another Yahoo hiccup.

Wow, now I've got a bad case of lathe envy. And I never thought that
size mattered.

And one of the reasons I do all my reading and posting not online, but via individual emails. Same capability as using Word, only no cut & paste, just a save button and a send button. I use Eudora as my email application, but I'm sure there are lots of others.
