OK , I found that answer. It is about 3 inches. The screw in the original telescoping fingers was 3/8-10 L.H. I'm no thread expert, but is that almost like a acme thread as they are far enough apart on that small diameter?. The print I found, they don't look quite like an ordinary thread. Anyone looked at theirs? Is there a slight flat between threads? This type of finger certainly looks challenging.
