The voltage provided by the utilities has crept up from 110 to (I believe ) 120 over the decades. Does this mean more power out of these older motors?

I was going to say the original motors were 1/4 horse and if you look
at the catalogs you could plug them into an overhead light socket.

But that was then.... when cars had 50 HP motors.
