In addition to the excellent advice you have already received, I would like to add that it is very easy to sell the attachments on eBay. Depending on what there is and what you mean by "numerous" you could get more for the accessories than the lathe.

I found a 1960 lathe in new condition with all the accessories. I paid $3,800 for it and traveled coast to cost to drag it out of a basement. So again, a picture is worth a thousand words in valuing the lathe and the options.
