Yep, Was the cables but they weren't charging cables- just intermittent/broken wires. That's what happens when I don't take care of things and just throw them in a box.
Thanks for the input!!

Re: AA mega 2560 driver issue insanity
Because attaching the USB cable caused absolutely no response from any of the PCs I tried, I began examining the two USB cables that I had tried. I found intermittent continuity in both of them!!

Re: AA mega 2560 driver issue insanity
Double check your cable with something else. I got bit by one that was only a CHARGING cable!
Unfortunately after I found it, I goofed and put it back in my pile.
Shame you can't kick yourself in

Re: Down loading the AA
Rudolph, did you read the documentation? It explains what you need and where to save it.
If you did that correctly, then I'm going to need some more information .

Down loading the AA
I have not been able to download the AA. When I do a compile, I have no errors. When I attempt to do a compile and download, I receive errors that examples and images do not have header files (.H).

I was lucky to be able to purchase one of the last parts kits with v2.2 board from Jack W8TEE. This was my first attempt with an Arduino and I wasn't expecting much on the first power up. I had read

Re: Magnetometer as a antenna pointing compass -- Azimuthal map projection
Yes, I think you're right. Most of the work I've seen does not correct for magnetic deviation and, for me, that's okay, since I'm using HF gear and a "shotgun" approach is good enough. If anyone wants
