Linux Version of SiTech.exe
Sean M
I had some problems keeping my raspberry pi virtual serial port stable for more than a couple of hours. Now I'm looking to run sitech.exe locally on the pi. I've heard there is a Linux version of SiTech.exe. Is this true? Can I download it from somewhere? How does ASCOM work or is there something else? Thanks, Sean |

Hi Sean,
Dan does indeed have a version of sitech.exe that runs on linux. However, as things stand, it runs on top of mono. Taj has instructions how to set that up. The equivalent to ASCOM in the *nix world is INDI (indilib.org). Dan also has written a module so that sitech can integrate with the INDI suite. There is a line of Dan's code for that module that needs to be modified, I believe, but otherwise works fine for me. Mark |

So any idea where that might be? On Fri, Feb 4, 2022, 7:32 AM Mark Copper <mlcopper@...> wrote: Hi Sean, |

I'd like to revisit this and at least get some instructions on getting sitech.exe running on mono.
Thanks, Matt |

The latest linux installer is here: Don't forget to install the visual basic mono library. The installer script usually needs to be modified for your particular home directory.
