Re: 2nd Sitech on a single Windows computer
I don't think you can run two sets of SiTech on one computer at the the same time. There are two ways to set up to switch between two SiTech setups, one at a time:

Peter,
I'd like to know that also. I've got the servo 1 and a servo 2 presently we use 2 computers.

Re: Another question about encoders!
Hi Stefan,
I have no knowledge of this company nor it's encoders. However their web site has quite a range of encoders, so if you found one that will fit your tight requirements, I think you don't

Another question about encoders!
Happy Holidays Everyone, I'm back trying to increase the resolution and accuracy of the declination drive on our telescope. We would put a Renishaw on this axis, but there simply isn't any room for it

Re: PointXP Generation with Plate Solving: Where are the scripts
Don,
Thank you. That worked well. PlatSolve was able to find the catalog files. Strange enough I did have the folder PlateSolve3Catalog in the same place you mentioned

The setting you show will prevent SiTech from doing a platesolve.

Sitech1 and plate solve
Hi apologies if this has been cover already can someone confirm if plate solving is off
I want it disabled so I can use Sky X and Voyager to do the solving.

Finding the number of encoder ticks
Hi, Dear All
I need to find out the number of encoder ticks of the motors of an Orion Skyquest XX 14 goto telescope, as I'm replacing the current tracking/go to system for Sitech Dual Servo

Dear All
Has anyone tried to convert, or converted an Orion Skyquest XX series go to telescope to Sitech tracking/go to system? Any comments would be most appreciated.

Louis,
Connect motor/encoder cables to controller
Remove cover from controller
Go to "Test and Tune" in ServoConfig and put motor in manual mode
Move the slider to start motor turning
Check voltage

Dear Don,
I exchanged the cable from another motor on declination axis to test. The problem is still there. Therefore, the problem should be the encoder.
I prefer replacing the whole motor assembly

Hi Louis,
Then your problem is the cable or connectors, not the encoder.

Are you mean that inputting 5volt to pin1 and pin4 by say a power supply? Then check the voltage change on multi-meter while rotating its shaft?

Hello,
After about 6 months now I am working on the plate solving script, and the first thing I tried was to get the script to get the plate solving working independently.

Re: 回覆︰Re: 回覆︰Re: 回覆︰Re: 回覆︰Re: [Sitechservo] Motor problem
Louis,
You can check if the encoder is working with voltmeter.
Make sure no static conditions present
Remove encoder cover
Supply only 5 volts to pin 4 of encoder and ground to pin 1.
Turn encoder
