Tracking and GoTo's with an Alt-Az mount depend on accurate setup both of the SiTech system and the overall setup each night in the field.

Download a copy of the manual. Go to the “Find” tab. Do a find. Once the object is found, just click on the Closed Loop Slew button. That’s all you have to do. Make sure that image link is

In regards to your ticks per rev. here are my experiences.
My encoders are the following.
RA motor - 51M
RA scope - 64M
Dec motor - 41M
Dec scope - 40M
SiTech.exe sets my dps to 1.72 for the RA, if

USB can be finicky. It is certainly limited in length of cables and USB doesn't like cold temperatures. Powered Hubs and active extension USB cables can overcome some length issues, but they rely on
