Temporary field archaeologists, Columbus Ohio, $15-$20 an hour

EMH&T, a civil engineering and environmental consulting company, is currently looking to fill some temporary positions for field archaeologists.  This position will include fieldwork based out of our Columbus, Ohio office.  Candidates should have a minimum of a Bachelor’s degree and prior fieldwork experience (preferably in the Ohio Valley region).  Familiarity with prehistoric and historic artifact identification a plus.


Responsibilities include the ability to conduct Phase I and II fieldwork with minimal oversight and report to the project manager, record data in the field, make observations and translate that information into reports to the project manager.  The candidate will need to be able to manage multiple responsibilities simultaneously, have good organizational skills and keep to project deadlines.  Ideal candidates will have some experience with a Trimble GPS.  You may be expected to drive company vehicles intermittently so a valid driver’s license is required.


Wages range from $15-$20 an hour and will be commensurate with experience.
