Now Hiring Temporary Archaeological Technicians and Archaeologists for Florida Projects
The Archaeological and Historical Conservancy, Inc. (AHC) is seeking field technicians and archaeologists for our Florida phase 1 cultural resource assessments and a Phase III assessment in Miami for immediate employment. Project based positions are open for work throughout Florida, but Miami is our priority where work is ongoing and will continue through the fall and likely into.
The principal duties and tasks will include excavation of shovel tests and units, sifting, completion of field notes and photo documentation. Required is at least a Bachelor’s Degree or a degree pending within a year in archaeology, anthropology, geography, field school attendance, or at least 6 months field experience. Applicants with experience in bioarchaeology are particularly welcome.
You should be in good physical condition, able to work in hot weather and humidity, have good communication skills, and able to work proactively as part of a team.
Starting pay is commensurate with education and experience. Ideal for students and local people living in South Florida. Out of town employees will be provided lodging and per diem. To apply, email resume, references, and earliest date available to work:
