PRINCIPAL INVESTIGATOR – ARKANSAS
AmaTerra Environmental, Inc. (AmaTerra), an award-winning, woman-owned, small business is seeking an experienced archaeologist to fill the role of Principal Investigator to lead projects in Arkansas and surrounding states. The successful applicant will work alongside our existing staff serving a variety of federal, state, municipal and private clients. Candidates must have a MA degree or equivalent in anthropology, archaeology or a closely related field and 10 or more years of professional archaeological experience working on surveys, testing, and data recovery projects, and/or in the lab. A minimum of five years of supervisory experience in archaeology is required. Desired knowledge, skills and abilities include:

Job responsibilities will include planning and managing archaeological projects (including budgets), coordinating and/or leading field crews on various survey, testing and data recovery projects, coordination and oversight of data and laboratory analyses, report writing and editing, coordination with clients, agency officials and regulators, and working with junior and senior staff in the AmaTerra Offices.
