Archaeological Project Manager
R. Christopher Goodwin & Associates, Inc. has an opening for an archaeological Project Manager in its New Orleans, LA office. Expertise in the archaeology of eastern North America and the Lower Mississippi River Valley desired. The successful candidate for this position must possess a graduate degree (M.A., M.S. or Ph.D.) in Anthropology/Archaeology and have worked in the field of CRM or have served in a similar capacity for at least three years. This position requires superior field, lab and interpersonal skills; computer, writing, and management skills; experience with report writing; applied knowledge of Section 106 of the NHPA; and familiarity with GPS and/or GIS. Opportunities for advancement to significant management responsibilities are available for the right candidate. Knowledge of 18th through 20th century material culture and previous meaningful involvement in urban archaeology in the Southeastern U.S. is desirable.
This is a full time, salaried, professional position with a full benefits package (paid holidays, vacation, and sick leave; health, dental, and life insurance; and a liberal 401(k) plan). The salary is competitive and commensurate with educational and professional experience.
