Title: Archaeological Field Technician (On-Call)

Location: Palm Springs and Palm Desert, CA


Statistical Research, Inc. (SRI), a multidisciplinary cultural resources consulting firm, seeks to expand its pool of on-call, hourly Archaeological Field Technicians for ongoing and upcoming projects located in Palm Springs and Palm Desert, CA. Qualified candidates should possess, at minimum, a bachelor’s degree in Archaeology, Anthropology, or a related field and have completed an accredited archaeological field school. Candidates must also have a minimum of 1–2 years of field experience (i.e., survey, testing, and data recovery) and be physically fit and able to perform physically demanding tasks in adverse environmental conditions (i.e., extreme heat). Candidates should also have good organizational skills, a positive attitude, strong work ethic, and willingness to learn and execute new tasks. Prior Mojave Desert experience will be viewed favorably, as will demonstrated past field experience working with Trimble XT global positioning system (GPS) receivers.

Compensation is based on individual qualifications and experience.
