Archaeology Field Technicians Needed, New England, $15+/hr, $50PD, Single Occ Hotel

The Public Archaeology Laboratory, Inc. (PAL) in Pawtucket, Rhode Island, seeks experienced archaeologists based in the Northeast for fall 2019 project work. Field archaeologists will work in New England; some projects are local and do not include housing and per diem; some projects involve overnight travel with housing and per diem provided. For consideration, applicants must have:

• An undergraduate degree in anthropology/archaeology;
• Previous CRM experience in the eastern United States;
• A valid driver’s license; and
• Ability to pass a background check if required by clients.

Position requires wearing personal protective equipment consisting of safety glasses/goggles, hard hats, and gloves (supplied by PAL) and field boots meeting nationally recognized safety standards (supplied by applicant). Pay rates start at $15/hour and increase commensurate with experience.
