IMMEDIATE NEED: Cultural Resource Field Technicians (Temporary) - Commonwealth Heritage Group, Inc. - Ogden, UT

Commonwealth Heritage Group, Inc. (Commonwealth) is looking for several temporary Cultural Resources Technicians to work on two projects in northern Utah. Fieldwork will begin October 9th and will extend into November. There will be at least three 8-day field sessions (Wednesday to Wednesday), working 10-hours a day. Lodging and per diem are included. These positions are hourly with the pay rate between $13 and $15 per hour, based on individual qualifications and experience.


Job Duties and Responsibilities:

•Conduct pedestrian archaeological surveys, walking about 5 miles a day.

•Work in the field under the direct supervision of a Crew Chief while conducting archaeological fieldwork.

•Record water control features along a potential historic landscape using a TrimbleGPS, and thorough photo documentation.

•A willingness to learn and take direction, as well as, work as a team member.



A Bachelor's Degree in anthropology, archaeology, or a closely related field or field school or equivalent experience providing knowledge of archaeological survey and recordation techniques and methodology is preferred.
