Archaeologist II Section 106 Reviewer: The Louisiana Division of Archaeology

The Louisiana Division of Archaeology is seeking applicants for an Archaeologist II Section 106 Reviewer / Outreach position in our Baton Rouge, Louisiana, office. The position description and required skills and knowledge are outlined below. This is a full-time civil service position with health insurance; vacation and sick leave; and retirement. Salary range is $39,166 to $68,640 with specific salary dependent on qualifications and experience. This position will concentrate on logging and tracking Section 106 correspondence and conducting project reviews at the beginning. As an online submission system is implemented over the next 6 months, the position will transition to 50% Section 106 project reviews and 50% outreach efforts focused on site visits and site/cemetery/collection documentation. M.A. in anthropology, archaeology, or closely related field is required. Applicants must meet the Secretary of Interior’s qualifications (http://www.nps.gov/history/local-law/arch_stnds_9.htm ).
