Field Techs needed for a CRA project in Wayne County, Kentucky

Cultural Resource Analysts, Inc. is currently seeking archaeological field technicians for Phase II archaeological test excavations in Wayne County, Kentucky. The project is expected to start on or about August 21 and will consist of one ten day session beginning on a Wednesday, working through the weekend, and finishing up the next 4 to 5 days of the following week. A bachelor’s degree in anthropology, attendance in a field school, and prior archaeological excavation experience are required. Preference will be given to those applicants with previous field experience in the Cumberland River section of Kentucky and Tennessee.  It is imperative that the candidate be able to work 8-10 hour days in a variety of weather conditions.  Stooping, bending, and lifting are essential functions of this position. Work days will consist of eight (8) to ten (10) hour days depending on the weather and will begin and end at the hotel. Per diem will be $36 per day with single occupancy lodging provided. Per diem and lodging will not be paid on non-work days.
