Archaeological Field Technician Openings (Southern Wyoming/Northern Colorado)
TRC Environmental Corporation in Laramie, Wyoming, has immediate openings for experienced Archaeological Field Technicians for on-call fieldwork in Wyoming and the surrounding region during the 2019 Field Season. We are looking for technicians living in the southern Wyoming/northern Colorado area for on-call, part-time survey and limited testing fieldwork primarily on small short-term projects (1 to 5 field days). Some 8- to 10-day sessions may be possible depending on the project-specific workload. Pay rate is $14.00 to $16.00 per hour based on experience, with a $41.00 per diem rate and individual hotel rooms. Travel to the project areas would be provided from the Laramie office. Candidates will be required to take a drug test.
Qualified applicants must have a B.A. degree in anthropology, archaeology, or a related discipline; have experience in survey and testing; have a minimum of 3 months of full-time or equivalent employment as an archaeologist; conduct high-quality fieldwork including hiking 6-10 miles per day in varying terrain; produce accurate and legible paperwork in a timely fashion; and take direction from project managers/crew chiefs regarding project requirements and expectations. Applicants must be willing to travel and work on a team. Experience in Wyoming and the Rocky Mountain and Northern Great Plains regions preferred.
