Re: Sergent Engineering Couplers
Just as a matter of interest Frank, if you were to make a slotted knuckle for the S scale coupling you would find a good market for those modellers modelling On2 and also for those doing On30 Puffing

3D Printers
I changed the subject line here because this is shop talk and a little off topic but is in response to LJ’s question and something I am still passionate about.
I don’t believe a run of the mill

Frank,
Thanks for the specific reply. I figured as much that you had to use more specialized equipment. It makes total sense to use the resin deposit printers with UV hardening. I just had no

Regarding the Fusion 360 software, it is always free for hobbyists.
I've had it myself for a few years now, and I just have to renew the hobbyists license annually.

First, many thanks to Frank for providing so much detail. It would appear that we are on the cusp of a great leap forward in affordable capabilities.
Loren – Where is the FABLAB located?

If you meant slack as in slack action then the friction springs have little to do with that. Slack as in free sideways movement well it depends on the model. I have some that the coupler box provides

Shelf coupler operation
I am looking to possibly buy some shelf couplers and was wonder how well they work? Do they make it so the couplers don't slide apart on uneven track or with long cars?

Stephen,
I have shelf couplers with the single shelf,(SBE), as well as double shelf,(SE),and they work just like the prototype couplers. They won't slide apart and will work on let's call it,
