Hi Will,

I'd be interested...and shipping ought to be cheap.  Please let me know what you've got, and what you want for them.

Thanks,
Jeff Scarbrough

Does anyone happen to have any extra long shank lower shelf, double shelf or type Fs they could spare??

Hello All

Bryian Sones

My name is Bryian Sones.

I've been a Modelrailroader for 44 years. I am into Prototype and Fine Scale Modeling. I mainly model the Union Pacific 1958 era in HO and  D&RGW Narrow Gauge, in the mid 50's Hon3. I also have some mid 80's S.P. and Rio Grande and Modern U.P. equipment. I am a Regular Member of the San Diego Model Railroad Club in California. I've been a member of many other various organization some current and in the past, such as, NMRA, UPHS, NMRS, RealSTMFC, RFCB  and WRPM
I have been using Sergent couplers on all of my equipment for about 6 years. I am interested in the group to learn more and share knowledge.

Kind Regards,

I am moving back into HO scale after being in O Scale 2-rail for 11 years. Prior to that I was in HO and had been using Sergent Engineering couplers.

I am interested in the group as I want to find what options I have with couplers and to learn from other people experiences.

Thanks

I love these couplers and I want to know more about them.  I have a small layout but would like to have prototype couplers that work.  I would like to see what this group can provide to me.

Re: Can anyone convert CAD files?

Timothy Cann

When an STL file is opened in SolidWorks (SW) it can be saved as a SW Part file (SLDPRT) and then used together with others to form a complete Assembly file (SLDASM).  However the SLDPRT files only show that the details have been imported; it is not a complete SLDPRT if it were built from scratch in SW.  My Sergent / SW assembly files are fully functional (a pair can be coupled & uncoupled), to scale, and work well when used with the other SW parts that are part of my HO rolling stock and engine library.

Rob:

Which file / coupler are you looking to have in .stl format?  Were you able to import the .igs file in SolidWorks?

Doesn't SolidWorks allow you to import an .igs (Initial Graphics Exchange Specification) file?

Re: Can anyone convert CAD files?

All:

Just checked ... files are still available on http://www.sergentengineering.com/

Right side, click on "Instructions, Etc" ... then click on "Click here for Instructions" ... then click on "3D Models"  ... then click on "Click here to download"

This will download a file named 3DModels.zip ... about 94.2 MB

Once you unzip the file, you will have to look through the 38 IGS files listed for the coupler you are interested in ...

Hope that helps.

V/r,
Tom C.
