I'm interested to see how these compare to the similar coupler boxes from Smokey Mountain Model Works.

Hi Rob, I have not made the test print yet, but the simulation in the slicer software shows no issues yet.
The test will be made on a resin printer.

The pivot point ( the post with the threaded hole where the coupler cover screw goes) on Blackstone cars is only the same diameter and tapper on the box and stock cars (same under frame). The gons, flats, tanks and refrigerators all have slightly different diameters and tappers. So plan on reaming all Sharons with a tapered reamer.

I will order a couple boxes, after you run a test print and let us know the results.
Thanks for taking on this project.

I can upload it to Shapeways in advance if someone like to try to print one out.

Hi group, as the Accurail boxes are rarer than hens teeth, I CAD designed my own.
I made it sort of like a Narrow gauge version, but it will fit all Sergent couplers (I think...).

Narrow shank lower shelf couplers

Todd Fisher

Does anyone happen to have maybe 4 or 5 pairs of narrow shank lower shelfs they could spare? If not it's not the end of the world but I'd like to try using them before attempting to use a shorter shank coupler for my needs.

Re: n scale size couplers

Dan Ward

that was done over 6 years ago and has since stopped the project out right, hence the reason why im asking here

Re: n scale size couplers

Sounds like somebody has taken it on.

I received a message from the group or Todd Fisher, saying you set a message but didn’t see anything as well.

Unless it was about printing couplers for casting/mold making.
