An SA-3 is just too far out of the comfort zone for us to consider making. Not only am I not familiar with the models, I'm equally unfamiliar with the prototype. Sorry.

Yes, that's the way to go. Make sure you get the assembly fixture to build your couplers, they go together very easy, I usually build enough for 10 cars at once and many times I've sat at a truckstop

Hi Paul, you don't need extended shank couplers with Sergents because there are no trip pins to worry about, with Kadee for example if you had a plow on a loco you'd need an extended shank so the trip
