Alan, Thanks for the info. While perhaps workable in an emergency, I don't intend to operate in a "continual state of emergency". That is, I either convert a batch of cars to Sergents, or I don't.

Edward, It's a "pain" but I have Kadee&McHenry scale couplers on most of my newer rolling stock and my Sergents will couple to both. Hands are sometimes needed to finish the couple but they DO work.
